The Kilembe trail is a newly developed trail in 2009 by John Hunwick an Alpine investor from Australia under Rwenzori trekking services in Rwenzori mountains National Park and Elgon trekking services in Mount Elgon national park.
The Kilembe trail has beautiful and standard huts with solar energy for lighting, charging and hot water baths in the camps to offer extra comfort and experience during your Rwenzori mountains hiking experience along the Kilembe trail.
These two trails have several walk boards installed along the trails to enable trekking during the rainy season and also offer more support as they’re the oldest and most developed trails in the Rwenzori mountains of the moon.

The bukurungu wilderness trail provides opportunities for camping in tents for 3 days before joining the central circuit trail to stay in the cabins.
